Lifeline is a federal program that helps make communication services more affordable for low-income consumers. Lifeline offers a monthly discount on at-home and wireless telephone services, as well as broadband internet and voice-broadband bundled services.

How can I determine if I am eligible?

In order to qualify for Lifeline, your income must be 135% less than the federal poverty guidelines. You may also be approved for Lifeline if you (or someone in your household) participates in one of the following federal assistance programs:

During the application process you will be asked to provide proof of income, and/or official documentation to show you are participating in one of these federal programs. 

How do I enroll?
Lifeline accepts applications online through the National Verifier application system at: https://nationalverifier.servicenowservices.com/lifeline

There are some states that may not use the National Verifier yet. In those cases you may also mail in your application following the instructions provided here: https://www.lifelinesupport.org/how-to-get-lifeline/
